How the Glitch Text Generator Works
The generator creates glitch text by layering Unicode combining characters above, through, and below your regular letters, producing the Zalgo-style effect. Independent top, middle, and bottom controls let you shape how glitchy the text looks, while styles such as Standard (Zalgo), Cursed, and Vaporwave offer different ways to customize the effect.
If you'd rather go the other way, switching to Un-glitch mode removes those combining marks and returns the text to normal — handy for reading glitch text someone sent you, or for cleaning it up before reusing it elsewhere.
Where You Can Use Glitch Text
Glitch text uses regular Unicode characters, so you can use it in most usernames, bios, captions, and chat messages without any special app. It pastes into WhatsApp normally, and the Instagram-safe preset scales the effect back to improve compatibility with Instagram's stricter filtering.
Roblox is a notable exception: its filtering currently blocks Unicode combining marks outright, so the Roblox-safe option leaves your text unchanged rather than producing something that wouldn't actually display there.
Tips for the Best Glitch Effect
For more readable glitch text, keep the intensity relatively low. For a more dramatic result, increase the top, middle, and bottom zones with the Standard (Zalgo) preset, which has the highest intensity ceiling.
Beyond copy and paste, you can turn your glitch text into a moving, animated GIF that re-randomizes the marks on every frame for a flickering effect, or export it as a PNG image — useful anywhere glitch text might not display properly, or whenever you want a shareable image or animation instead of plain text.
